A Sustainable Production

We supply certified organic Cedarwood oil from the tree, Cedrus atlantica. from a sustainable production in southern France. Since the early 1860’s there have been plantations of Cedar in the Ardeche region. Windfall trees from these plantations are distilled by an excellent distillery in La Drome, near Crest. The oil has a rich and warm aroma.

The Cedar tree is native to the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, where it is under threat from a combination of illegal felling and climate change. Increased drought has changed the habits of some local monkeys making them chew on the tree buds and bark in ways that damage the trees.
